The film legally blonde shows stereotypes of young girls to be unclever. Although the main character towards the end overcomes these stereotypes up until this point the girls around her and her are made out to be stupid. In the opening scene the first thing that the audience sees is a close up shot of her blonde hair, this links in with her stereotype. We see the character only doing things to improve her appearance whilst getting ready such as painting her nails for example and nothing that would imply that she has an education.
