We where assigned some genres and where asked to take some photos that showed that genre.
This shot is of an empty playground and is displaying an apocalyptic scene. It is daytime in this photo so the playground should be busy, because it is not the audience can tell that something has gone wrong . The weather in this photo is quite dull and cloudy and this creates a gloomy atmosphere. The shot has high key lighting and this means that you can see that all the areas are bare, it emphasises the solitude of the area and that there is not a single person in sight. Because there is no visible destruction it could mean that the population was wiped out by a life threatening disease. There are themes of death as apart from a select few the worlds population has died. There are no characters in sight indicating that they are in hiding, this could be because the world is no longer safe. The photo is a wide shot, this makes sure that the viewer can see everything.

This photo is of somebody playing a game of basketball, it is clear that the photo has been taken in a school and that is where the film is going to be set. There is only one person in the shot and this indicates that this person is the main character and that the film is going to be base around her.
